Further Proof
Below are two videos that I hope will provide some peace of mind that these web sites are genuine. The first video is a report from Tom Carver on behalf of BBC Newsnight, he investigated the first web site that appeared a few years ago offering free iPods to it's users (this is the same video I have posted on the front page of this site). The second video is from an American TV show, they hold a phone interview with one of the web sites founders and the whole process is explained in a bit more detail.
As you can imagine, the more people that find out about the freebie scene, the more people get in on the act, as a result here in the UK a whole community called eXceem has appeared, dedicated to the pursuit of gaining free gear. To visit the eXceem forums click here. eXceem has been around a while now and it's members have managed to earn an overwhelming amount of free gear, check out this thread that shows just how much some people have managed to get.
Last but not least, I am living proof that it works, my Xbox 360 was obtained through one of the freebie sites, I had friends & work colleagues sign up as my referrals and 2 months later I received my brand new Xbox 360. It's a great console, but even better considering it was free.
